Voice Over or Song?

Sound. We're torn between doing a voice over or to put a song in the background.

If we do a voice over, it will coincide with Alejandro's typing. Which will explain what's going on, giving the audience more information. The voice over would be a love letter directed towards Andrea. It would be Alejandro's way of saying goodbye to her. This would give a lot away to the audience, leaving no room for anticipation of what's going to happen next.

But if we do a song in the background with no dialogue, this will give the opportunity for the audience to predict and assume different things. Making them want to watch more to see what occurs in the end.

Options for songs:

Such Great Heights by Iron and Wine

I Hate You I Love You by Gnash

Sea of Love by Cat Power

Thinkin Bout You by Frank Ocean

Inch of Dust by Future Islands

To Be Alone With You by Sufjan Stevens
